Your Guide to Ford Trucks in Downers Grove, IL

Ford Truck Lineup

Ford Maverick

Not everyone needs a truck as large as the F-Series. For those drivers, Ford introduces the Maverick, the award-winning compact pickup truck that’s perfect for city driving, but still Built Ford Tough®. The new Ford Maverick comes standard with a 2.5-liter hybrid engine that delivers exceptional fuel economy while still serving up plenty of power. Among the innovations the Maverick offers drivers is FLEXBED™, a 4.5-foot truck bed with features like two pre-wired 12-volt sources and stamped slots that let you customize your cargo capabilities.

Ford Ranger

If you live for the weekend, ride with the Ford Ranger. This muscular midsize pickup truck packs the goods with a 270-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost® and towing capacity up to 7,500 pounds when properly equipped. If you opt for the FX4 Off-Road Package or ultra-rugged Tremor option, you can put that power to the test on the trail whenever you see fit. And options like the Splash™ Package and STX Appearance Package ensure that you’ll have standout appeal wherever you head.

Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 is the name synonymous with hard-hitting, hard-working pickup trucks — and for good reason. The new F-150 boasts a deep roster of engines, class-leading towing and payload capabilities, and exciting trims like the Platinum and Raptor. Plus, the F-150 is equipped with all the advanced features and high-end amenities you’d expect in a flagship vehicle, including BlueCruise hands-free driving and a Max Recline Seat that turns the cabin into a lounge.

Ford Super Duty

For bigger power and capabilities — and making a bigger splash — the all-new Ford Super Duty comes up huge. Ford continues to perfect its powerhouse full-size pickup, adding an incredible High-Output Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8 that leads the segment in horsepower, torque, and gooseneck towing. Plus, it leads the way with tech like Pro Power Onboard, a Power Tailgate-mounted camera, and 5G connectivity.

Ford F-150 Lightning

There’s no Ford truck more electrifying than the F-150 Lightning, the first all-electric pickup from Ford. The new Ford F-150 Lightning is one of the most all-around impressive vehicles Ford has ever offered, putting down the most horsepower and torque of any F-150 while returning more than enough available range to make the drive to Chicago and back five times over without needing to charge once. Add on features like Intelligent Backup Power, which lets the F-150 Lightning power your home during an outage, and it’s clear that the future is now.

Best Ford Truck Features

Ford trucks regularly best the competition because, year after year, they step up their game from already impressive heights. If you’re shopping for a new Ford truck, there are tons of features that set options like the Maverick and F-150 apart from the competition.

Mighty engines and powertrains

Across the Ford truck portfolio, you’ll find some of the absolute most impressive powertrains around. That starts with the 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle hybrid, which comes standard with the Maverick and offers amazing fuel economy and range to help you save time and money. The F-150 offers one of the most diverse engine lineups of any vehicle around, and that includes the 700-horsepower supercharged 5.2-liter V8 offered with the new Raptor R. With options like the High-Output Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel with the new Super Duty and the all-electric dual-motor powertrain of the F-150 Lightning, there’s just no going wrong with a Ford.

Intelligent workhorse capabilities

If you plan to use your Ford truck for work, you’re in the right place. Ford offers tons of features and technologies made to simplify your workday, including available Pro Power Onboard with up to 9.6 kilowatts of exportable power and Intelligent Zone Lighting. The F-Series leads the pack with innovations like Onboard Scales, Smart Hitch, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist™, which help everyone tow and haul with confidence no matter their experience level.

Proven off-road prowess

If you love adventure, Ford is as ready for the weekend as you are. Every Ford truck is available with a rugged Tremor package option, which adds perks like a suspension lift, beefier tires, and a stronger suspension. Of course, there’s no greater standard for off-roading in a pickup than the F-150 Raptor, which gets features like FOX™ Live Valve™ shocks and Ford Performance tuning.

Game-changing technologies

Ford is no stranger to innovation, and its new truck lineup keeps up that habit with more advanced features than the competition. Across the lineup, you’ll find features like SYNC® 4 and SYNC® 4A, which simplify staying connected, and Ford Co-Pilot360™ safety features like BlueCruise and Active Park Assist.

Cabs and Beds

When you’re shopping for a pickup truck, there are a lot of different considerations you need to take into account. If you’ve got questions about things like cabs and bed lengths, we’ve got the answers you need to make an informed decision.

What are truck cab styles?

Ford generally offers three different cab styles for its trucks: regular, SuperCab, and SuperCrew®. Regular cabs are options for the F-Series, offering two doors and seating for up to three, which is typically enough for work trucks. SuperCab models get two full doors and two half doors as well as expanded seating. With the SuperCrew®, you get two full-size doors and seating for as many as six people.

The Ford Maverick is only offered in a SuperCrew® configuration with seating for five. The Ranger can seat four as a SuperCab or five as a SuperCrew®. The all-electric F-150 is offered only in SuperCrew® style with seating for five.

What’s the difference between bed lengths?

Truck beds are available in different lengths, which allows you to store more cargo. The type of bed you can choose is typically dependent on the cab style.

The Maverick is exclusively offered with a 4.5-foot FLEXBED™, which offers several unique storage solutions and built-in perks. The Ranger SuperCab comes with a 6-foot box, while the SuperCrew® comes with a 5-foot box. F-150 trucks get a 5.5-foot, 6.5-foot, or 8-foot bed depending on your choice of cab. With the new Super Duty, you can get a 6.75-foot bed or an 8-foot bed depending on which model you choose (F-250, F-350, or F-450), the cab style, and whether you choose single rear wheel or dual rear wheel. And the all-electric F-150 Lighting is only offered with a 5.5-foot bed.

Ford trucks also offer unique bed features that help give them an advantage over the competition. With its FLEXBED™, the Maverick comes with two pre-wired 12-volt source points that you can use to power tools as well as hidden storage. The F-150, F-150 Lightning, and Super Duty offer Pro Power Onboard, a built-in generator that makes exporting power even simpler. And all trucks come with tie-downs that help you lock cargo items in place.
